The following is a letter from Ms. Suzanne Guérard, president, National Office of the St.Andrew School of Evangelization for the coming year.

Greetings to you dear members of the St. Andrew Schools of Evangelization,

At the beginning of this month of December, I first desire to wish you a beautiful Advent season.  In Quebec, the Church adopts each year a theme for the Advent season, and this year the theme is: “Stand up!  Watch!”.  The theme invites us to be bold missionary disciples equipped to bring people to God and equipped to bring God to people.  Are not our Schools privileged means to share our hope and our trust in our loving God?  I wish us all a beautiful time of preparation for the coming of Jesus, our Saviour and Messiah.

The Lord calls us to go beyond ourselves in our “yes” to love and serve Him.  It is with joy and gratefulness that I wish to announce that I am now the new president (national director) of the National Office of the St. Andrew School of Evangelization in Canada (SASE-CANADA).  I give thanks to God for the trust the members of my team give me, and I thank them for their support.  I am blessed to rely on a team where the members help and support each other in going forward and helping the Schools in Canada.

Our Schools have big challenges to take up in order to evangelize our world, but thanks to the dedication of each of you and your teams, I remain convinced that we can contribute a great deal to the world in order for Jesus to be better known, loved and served.  Together, let us work to establish the Kingdom of God!

I wish to introduce you to the board members which are part of the National Office of the St. Andrew School of Evangelization in Canada for the coming year:

Ms. Suzanne Guérard, president

Father Marcel Caron, vice president

Father Stéphane Pouliot: secretary

Father Mario Doyle, treasurer

Msgr. Roger Dufresne, administrator

Mrs. Jocelyne Chrétien, administrator

Deacon Marcel-Marie Breton, administrator

It would have been pleasant to send you this message two days ago on November 30th, as we were celebrating the feast of St. Andrew, but I know that for each of you this day had a particular significance. It celebrates what we want: become “Andrews” who look for “Peters”.

Here are a few other announcements:

  • The course “Benjamin” will be reproduced in French in Montreal on January 19th and 20th 2017.  You can register directly through the local School in Sacré-Coeur Parish in Montreal with Marie Serralheiro, (514) 521-0095, extension 105 or online by emailing: eesa.sacrecoeur@videotron.ca .  This course of the St. Andrew School of Evangelization is a “New Life” for children, age 4-7 and 8-12.  The cost of your registration is $40 per person including two lunches.  The schedule for both days is from 9:30am till 6pm.

  • The National Seminar will take place at L’Alliance in Trois-Rivières, QC, from Thursday morning February 23rd till early afternoon on Sunday February 26th.  We will experience the course “Damascus” preached by Dexter Alejandro Reyes, the assistant director of our International School.  The particulars of how to register will come to you in the next few days.  We will also take advantage of this moment to celebrate the 10th anniversary of existence of the St. Andrew Schools of Evangelization in Canada.  There is a limited number of participants.  Please reserve the date in your agenda: February 23-26 2017.

United in prayer!

May God bless your mission!

Suzanne Guérard, president (national director) of SASE-CANADA
